London Luton Airport is located 3-4 km from the center of Luton and approx. 55 km north-west of central London. Currently, it is the fourth in terms of the number of passengers served by the London airport. Its official opening took place on July 16, 1938. During World War II, the airport served as the base for the 264th Fighter Squadron. Passenger traffic was resumed after the war. At the beginning of the 1970s, the airport was the most profitable port of Great Britain. Today, the network of domestic, international and charter connections is provided by about 20 airlines, mainly low-cost ones. The most popular destinations are: Budapest, Amsterdam, Dublin, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Glasgow, Bucharest, Geneva, Edinburgh, Paris. London-Luton is the base airport for the Thomsonfly line. In 2015, the airport served over 12.2 million passengers. There are several hotels near the airport, however the largest selection of hotel facilities is located in London.

Train
The railway station is located approx. 2.5 km from the terminal. The bus stop can be reached by an airport bus that runs from the terminal between 5:00 and midnight every 10 minutes. Trip from the airport to the station takes 7 minutes. A bus ticket for travelers who have not previously purchased a train ticket is L 1.6 one way or L 2,7 return trip.
First Capital Connect
- the train stops, among others at the stations: London Bridge, City Thameslink, Blackfriars, Farringdon and St Pancras International,
- the travel time from the station to the center of London is about 40 minutes,
- by choosing "Luton Airport"
- the ticket price includes a bus transfer to the terminal. If you buy a ticket for the "Luton Airport Parkway" station – you will have to pay an additional toll for the terminal.

The airport is located 3-4 km from the center of Luton and approx. 55 km north-west of central London. The airport is easily accessible from all over the country, it is close to the M1 and M25 motorways. Depending on the intensity of road traffic, it takes 50 min. up to 1.5 hours. When moving by car in the direction of the airport, take the M1 exit from the exit number 10. The access to the airport is well marked.

Priority Parking
This is a new service from the Meet & Greet series that gives tourists and business customers convenience and speed. Using it is to leave the car behind the terminal in the Drop Off Zone, right next to Priority Parking reception, from where qualified staff escorts him to a safe place, ie. a short-term car park located near the terminal. After returning the car is waiting for the owner in the same place, and his meter will indicate at most 300 m more. Currently, the service is available only to customers who have pre-booked. Service prices start at L 46, and weekly weekly parking costs L 100.
Parking for disabled people
Short-term, medium- and long-term parking spaces for disabled people have special parking zones. If you book online in advance, a discount is given. Short-term parking offers free blue card holders for the first 60 minutes. For this purpose, they are asked to place a parking clock in the vehicle and to go to the APCOA Customer Service Point at the Onward Travel Center in the terminal building to validate it.
Restricted parking area
- intended only for departing passengers,
- in the zone, the vehicle can be stopped for a maximum of 10 minutes,
- the driver must remain in the car during the stop.
Information – the information desk is located in the arrivals terminal.
Disabled – the airport is adapted to the needs of disabled people and, if necessary, offers assistance from an assistant.
Gastronomy – in the public area are available cafes: Caffe Nero, Costa and Starbucks Cofee, fast-food Burger King bars, as well as: Bar des Voyagers and Food Village. In the passenger area, passengers are waiting for passengers Benugo, Frankie & Benny's restaurants and The Real Food Company, Starbucks Coffee, as well as Bar 10 and Est Bar.
Shopping – in the public area there is a 24-hour Marks & Spencer Simply Food, The Yellow Line, a WHSmith press lounge. A large selection in the passenger area, in addition to the duty-free Aelia store in the departure hall, travelers can use, among others from stores: Accessorize, Boots, Dixons Travel Store, JD Sports, Kurt Geiger, Rolling Luggage, Sunglass Hut, Voyager.
Finance – ATMs and currency exchange ICE (International Currency Exchange) are located in the public area and the passenger area.
